📊 ↩️ Return Reporting

The Returns Dashboard provides a comprehensive view of your reverse logistics health. It helps you understand how often returns occur, how long they take, and how performance differs by carrier and region. The dashboard is designed to support both operational monitoring and trend analysis, with views for recent weeks as well as longer-term developments.

Return Shipment Trends

This section uses line charts to track the volume and health of your returns over two timeframes: the Last 6 Weeks (for immediate operational trends) and the Last 6 Months (for seasonal benchmarking).

Key Metrics Included:

  • Total Returns %: The share of your total shipment volume that results in a return.
  • Damaged Returns %: Identifies quality issues by showing the percentage of returns marked as damaged.
  • Lost Returns %: Tracks the reliability of the return journey by highlighting the percentage of parcels that fail to reach their destination.

This view helps you:

  • Track whether return rates are increasing or decreasing
  • Identify spikes in damaged or lost returns
  • Compare recent trends with longer-term performance

Lead Times - Regional Performance

This interactive map of Europe visualizes the average lead time (in days) between the First Return Hub Scan and the Final Delivery to your returns center. The lead times exclude Saturday and Sunday, and national holidays in the consumer country.

Colour scale:

  • 🟢 Green: 0 – 2 days
  • 🟡 Yellow: 2.1 – 3 days
  • 🟠 Orange: 3.1 – 4 days
  • 🔴 Red: 4.1+ days

This view is useful for:

  • Spotting regional bottlenecks
  • Comparing return performance across countries
  • Identifying areas where returns consistently take longer than expected

Carrier Lead Time Analysis

This data table provides a granular breakdown of carrier performance. It measures the average time from the First Hub Scan to Final Delivery for return parcels in days, excluding Saturday and Sunday and national holidays in the consumer country.

How to use this table:

  • Weekly View: Ideal for identifying temporary carrier backlogs or weather-related delays.
  • Monthly View: Best for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and comparing long-term carrier reliability.

This table helps you:

  • Compare carriers side-by-side
  • Identify consistently slower or faster return handling
  • Monitor changes in carrier performance over time

💡 Need to investigate a specific delay? Click on any "red" country on the heat map or any cell in the data table to drill down into the specific shipments. This allows you to see the timestamps per tracking code for shipment creation, first hub scan, and delivery time.
