User Responsibilities: Step-by-Step Guide

To ensure your goods are cleared successfully, please follow this ordered list of actions.

1. Create Order and Shipment

   Initiate the process by creating the logistics order in the system.

   Action: If labeling by yourself you should create Order and Shipment but if labeling with us you should create Order and Label.

   Outcome: The physical parcel is ready for processing, but customs data is not yet finalized.

2. Create Customs Shipment

   Once the order and shipment exists, you must create the specific data required for customs authorities.

   Action: Create Customs Shipment.

3. Create Manifest

   This is the final and most critical step for the user.

   What is a Manifest? A Customs Manifest is a consolidated list of shipments (parcels) that are being transported together for a given day (usually picked up at the same time). We clear goods on a consignment level, meaning this step is strictly required to start the clearing procedure.

   Action: Group all Customs Shipments that are being picked up physically at the same time into a Manifest. and create Manifest via our API

   Significance: By creating the manifest, you are signaling that customs clearing can start.

   Result: Clearance started and if successful documents are issued and pick up can start.
